The mission of the Guadalupe and Lilia Martinez Foundation is:
To receive and maintain a fund or funds of real or personal property, or both, and subject to the limitations set forth in the Articles of Incorporation and By-laws,
To use and apply the income derived and the principal
For religious, charitable, scientific, testing for public safety, literary, health (including providing health care for those who cannot afford it, whether residents, non-resident aliens, or illegal aliens) and educational purposes
In order to benefit primarily, but not necessarily, the people of Webb and Zapata Counties, Texas,
By contributions to organizations that primarily, but not necessarily, are located in Webb and Zapata Counties, Texas
That qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501 (c) (3) of the IRS code of 1986 and its Regulations as they now exist or as they may be amended.
